Show Us Your Stuff November challenge inspiration

Back again!

This time to share my DT page for this month's challenge at Show Us Your Stuff.

The challenge this month is very cool - it's a bit of a 'scrap your own adventure' theme.  Basically, you need to choose one prompt from each column in the table below and use those prompts to create your page.  How fun! The possibilities are almost endless!

I chose the word 'love', the butterfly for my embellishments, stencilling for my technique and mini prints for my photo size.
Here's how it turned out (followed by some close ups):

My handmade items are flair from Greatest View.

So much fun to be had with this challenge.  There will be so many different types of pages submitted for this challenge - can't wait to see them all!!  What will YOU choose??

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

Off The Rails November challenge

Hi everyone,

I've been a bit MIA on my blog lately, due to study commitments, but the good news is, I've finished my assessment requirements for this semester, so I can now get crafty again!!

Here is my DT page for the new mood board challenge at Off The Rails Scrapbooking.  The new board is fabulous, with lots of lovely bits and pieces to inspire you.

I've taken pops of colour from the board, while keeping the overall page fairly muted to match my photos.

Here are a few close ups for you :)

Head on over to the OTR blog and give it a go!  I can't wait to see what you all create.

Thanks for looking.
Warm wishes, Catie xo

SUYS September Mood Board

Ooh I am behind this month!!  I'm studying atm, and it's taking a while to kick my brain back into gear after finishing my first degree 12 years ago and becoming a mum in between then and now.

Here is my take on the gorgeous mood board at Show Us Your Stuff, for September.  Lots and lots to be inspired by here.  If you haven't already done a page for this one, why not do one today?

I was inspired by the colours, the flowers and the hearts and bicycles.

And of course, a few little close ups ;)

There's still a couple of weeks left for this month, so plenty of time to have a go at this awesome challenge!  Would love to see you all enter!!

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

Art Journal Process Video - Off the Rails Scrapbooking

Hello there everyone!

It's my turn over at Off The Rails today.  I've finally jumped in and had a go at doing a process video.  And despite quite a few hiccups, I've been bitten by the bug, and look forward to creating more of these and fine-tuning my process.

So, here it is; please excuse the bits where my head gets in the way... still working out the best way to set up my camera!

Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo

Show Us Your Stuff August Challenge

This month we have a shape challenge for SUYS, created by Alison:

The shapes you need to include on your page are.... a square, a rectangle, bunting, a circle, a banner, a splash of paint or ink, and a handmade item! This sounds like a lot, but its really not that hard! :) Other items can be added, but the above list must be clearly visable, the items can also be used more than once if you would like!

Here is my take on the challenge:

Be sure to check out the rest of the team's samples - the girls have all done a fabulous job with this challenge - so much to be inspired by from each of them!!

Thanks for looking. Warmest wishes, Catie xo
